Start by checking for the current version here: http://phantomjs.org/download.html

 

Logged in as root on your server, type the following to get the file

wget https://bitbucket.org/ariya/phantomjs/downloads/phantomjs-1.9.7-linux-x86_64.tar.bz2

Unpack it by using

bzip2 -dk phantomjs-1.9.7-linux-x86_64.tar.bz2

And then

tar xvf phantomjs-1.9.7-linux-x86_64.tar

Copy the phantomjs to /usr/lib64

cp phantomjs-1.9.7-linux-x86_64 /usr/lib64/phantomjs-1.9.7-linux_x86_64

Try the installation by running hello.js from the examples in the package

phantomjs hello.js
